Warts

warts on the skin how to treat

Warts are a skin disease characterized by the formation of small tumor growths on the surface of the skin.

Nipple sizes are different. The formations can be the size of a needle and can reach the size of a laundry coin.

The disease is viral in nature and is transmitted through direct contact or through household necessities that are used by both sick and healthy people at the same time.

Usually such growths cause psychological discomfort, because often the places of their localization are visible parts of the body. Warts can be treated with pharmaceutical drugs, folk remedies or hardware procedures.

Types of warts

  • ordinary (simple) - grayish-brown nodules of round shape with a rough surface. These warts usually appear on the hands, face and scalp. Widespread in both children and adults. Ordinary warts do not cause pain, but they are quite unpleasant from an aesthetic point of view, because they can form entire colonies of benign tumor formations;
  • plantar warts - appear, as their name suggests, on the surface of the plantar. They look like corns, consisting of filiform papillae surrounded by horny layers. Reasons why plantar warts appear include constant shoe pressure and the creation of an unfavorable microclimate in the sole area. When walking, such formations deliver painful emotions and require adequate treatment;
  • flat nipples are small nodules that barely protrude above the surface of the skin. They have a yellowish or fleshy color and are most often noticed in young people. Straight nipples form on the hands and face. As a rule, they are absolutely painless;
  • venereal warts (condyloma) - got their name due to the fact that they are transmitted during sexual contact and affect the external genitalia.

The main reason for the appearance of warts in humans is a viral skin lesion. The pathogen is transmitted to healthy people by direct contact with the virus carrier or through household items. In addition, sweating of the skin, minor injuries, burns and some other factors can contribute to the onset of the disease. So, for example, plantar warts are easy to pick up while visiting the pool or taking a shower at the gym.

Wart treatment

Currently, methods of combating warts are usually divided into medical and surgical. The first include the use of ointments, the use of antiviral drugs, the use of destructive chemicals. All such actions have a relatively low efficiency and can help only in the case of the appearance of individual formations, and even then in the earliest stages. For this reason, modern treatment of warts is based on the use of surgical methods, which, in turn, are divided into:

  • surgical;
  • cryodestruction methods;
  • radiowave surgery;
  • operations performed with the help of laser technology.

The first two methods are characterized by painful surgery and a long period of healing. In addition, if not used properly, they can lead to scarring and the reappearance of warts. Radiowave and laser surgery overcome these shortcomings and offer patients a quick, bloodless and painless treatment for warts on the hands, soles and other parts of the body.

Warts - a folk remedy

People have various recipes for removing unpleasant growths on the skin. Here are the most popular of them:

  • plantar warts are easily removed by applying a clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon of vinegar essence and wheat flour. Apply a small amount of this test on the nipple and fix it with a band-aid or bandage. The bandage is removed after 2-3 hours. If it is not gone, the wart removal procedure is repeated. Also keep in mind that small, painful holes will appear at the site of the fallen formations. A bandage with ointment is placed on them, which is worn until the wounds have completely healed;
  • warts on the hands are quickly removed with the help of Kalanchoe feather leaves. Attach them to the nipples and wrap with a bandage. After 3-4 procedures, the warts will disappear;
  • effective mixture, which is prepared from garlic and fat. Spread it on a cloth, put it on the nipple and fix the bandage with a band-aid. It is necessary to change the garlic mass every day. The course of treatment lasts 4-5 days;
  • It has been noticed that if the wart is rubbed with sour apple juice every day, then it will start to shrink and disappear completely after about 10 days. Fresh juice of mountain ash or tomato has a similar effect;
  • powders of crushed cornflower seeds have a good result. They need to be done every day. You can also mix the powder with lard and get a wart removal ointment.

Remember that if you have warts, alternative treatments must be agreed with your doctor or experienced homeopath. Do not self-medicate, as this can lead to unexpected and sometimes very unpleasant consequences.
